Pennant Bowls at Ivanhoe

The Pennant season runs from mid October until March. Bowls Victoria runs the state pennant competitions. Players and clubs need to adhere to strict guidelines when playing in this competition. This season the Ivanhoe Bowling Club has entered four sides in the Saturday competition. We have entered four sides in the Midweek competition and a 7 -a-side Thursday competition. Also we participate in a Tuesday Night Pennant Competition commencing in November. |

Saturday Pennant
The Club has four sixteen-a-side sides in the Saturday Pennant competition. The Saturday Pennant competition is an open event. Bowlers with a range of ability can participate in this competition. We have a side in each of Division 2, Division 3 and Division 4 sides and Division 7. We play on Saturday afternoon starting at 1pm from September (with practice matches) to March. Men and women play in these sides.
Midweek Pennant
The Club has four sides in the Open Section. We have two sides in Division 2 and one in Div 4. Each team has 12 players. Games are on Tuesdays commencing in October with finals in March.
Thursday 7-a-side Pennant
The Club has a side in the Open Section. Each team has 7 players. It is played in the morning as two teams of pairs and a team of triples. Games are on Thursdays commencing in October.
Tuesday Night Pennant
The Club has one side entered in the Tuesday night Pennant Competition as part of the North Eastern Division.
Ivanhoe has been a regular competitor in the finals over a number of years. It is a two bowl triples event usually commencing in November each year. If you are interested in playing competitive bowls on Tuesday evenings, contact John Higgins on 0409 175 239.
Indoor Biased Bowls Pennant
We play on Monday night as part of the North Division Indoor Biased pennant competition.
